Asphalt Pathchback
HOW
An asphalt patchback is the application of a 4-12" thick paving section over compacted sub-grade that vary in width depending on the project type. Vertical edges are prepped with a tack coat binder and asphalt is placed in multiple lifts. A standard patchback is typically 12-24" width and may also involve a T-cut " cold mill grinding" along perimeter edges to help ensure proper compaction and a uniform finished product.
WHEN
Commonly installed along new concrete after the curing process. Patchback's are also utilized for trench work after the placement of different utility applications: electrical, plumbing, landscape, fiber-optics and more.
LIFESPAN
20+ Years
